About

20201025_202746.jpg

My passion is completing projects in responsive web design and UX/UI design. I developed an interest in these disciplines after completing my undergraduate years at Manhattan College. My computer engineering major gave me the technical background and project management skills needed to create prototypes and online applications. Additionally, the digital media art minor helps me attract users by designing aesthetically pleasing layouts for my projects.

Currently enrolled in the Professional Certification in UX & Emerging Interaction Design Program at NYU Tandon of Engineering. During this program, I learned how to conduct user research and create wireframes, low and high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes to produce user-friendly web and mobile applications. The tools I used in the certification are Miro, Figma, Sketch, Marvel POP, Amazon Sumerian, and Unity.

Before I attended NYU Tandon of Engineering, I completed a Responsive Web Design Certification at freeCodeCamp. I fabricated functioning web pages and sites using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React.

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and minor in Digital Media Art at Manhattan College. I gained five years of experience collaborating in interdisciplinary engineering teams, coding in programming languages, and finalizing IEEE-standard researches, reports, and financial analyses.

I studied and completed projects in photography, digital drawing, graphic design, and audio and video editing during the Digital Media Art minor. These assignments enhanced my skills in Logic Pro X, Corel Painter, and Adobe Creative Suite.

I enjoy solving problems that involve design thinking, UI/UX design, and web design and development. I am especially interested in animation, logo design, and banner ads. I invite you to view my recent projects, located at https://genevaroyer.wordpress.com/web-design-development-projects/.
